Lonestar Placemat Pillow
A quick throw pillow project using a placemat!
Using a seam ripper, remove approximately 1/12 inches of stitches. You may have to adjust the size of opening you make to accommodate the filling you will be using. Mine was loose fiberfill so I could stuff it through a small opening.
The placemat I was using had a second set of stitches inside. Using the seam ripper, remove these stitches as well.
Manioulate your filling through the opening until your pillow is filled to your liking.
As my pillow filled up, I used a chopstick to maneuver the fiberfill into corners and to distribute it evenly.
When your pillow is filled to your liking, stitch up your opening using a needle and thread. If you want to turn this project into a no sew version you can fabric or hot glue your opening closed.
Massage the pillow to evenly distributed the fiber fill, paying special attention to corners and lumpy areas. Then display!!!
