Easy Inexpensive Wall Art

My best friend is notorious for talking me into things. A couple years ago, she talked me into buying inexpensive cotton dollies & tea-staining them. I found a few wooden embroidery hoops at antique stores and rummage sales. I already had quite a bit of ribbon because I redid the ribbons on my Amish pillowcase dolls. I decided to see what I could make with all of it.
In case you couldn't tell, I love the Amish!

The white on the top of the door frame is a cheap lace tablecloth, rolled up & tied with ribbon & hung on Command hooks. Another suggestion from my friend.
Doilies (I tea-stained mine) different sizes
Wooden embroidery hoops, a bit smaller than the doily
Ribbon of your choice, approximately same width as the embroidery hoop
I use a little of this on outside of hoops, inch long strips in 4 or 5 areas to hold ribbon in place.
Make sure you cut your ribbon long enough so it will wrap completely around the hoop and tie in a bow under the tension screw & hang down.
This one didn't hang over like the other four.
