DIY Ledgestone Basement Stairway
by
South Cypress
(IC: professional)
After finishing her basement, Kristene was not crazy about how the drywall butted up and over the concrete leaving a small lip. This was a unique situation that required Kristene to come up with a creative solution.
Kristine also knew that whatever she decided to do with this space needed to bring in warmth as opposed to the coldness of exposed concrete.
Ledgestone was the perfect solution! It looks great on the wall, and is the perfect thickness to fill in the space. The Sierra color makes the space much warmer than before and creates a stunning effect when you enter the room.
Kristene recommends taking your time and not rush your project. A toothbrush comes in handy to clean out the nooks if too much Mastic is applied. Kristene was able to complete her project in 2 days doing the labor her self and spending approximately $700 in tile and materials.
