Create gorgeous, chic pumpkins using acrylic paint and glaze. Any cheap faux pumpkin or gourd will do. These were purchased at Dollar Tree for $1 each. A lot of tutorials suggest chalk paint but inexpensive acrylic worked great for me. Just brush on your choice of colors in layers until you get the look you want. I love how these turned out and especially love the total cost, only $2.00 since I already had the paints. I'll definitely be painting more of these soon! Stop by my blog to see what other fall projects I've been up to. Happ fall!
I used tan, teal and bronze acryclics brushed on in layers with no real rhyme or reason in technique. Acrylic dries quickly so it's perfect for an impatient crafter like me! I finished them off with a light coat of dark antiquing glaze wiped off with a damp paper towel as soon as it was painted on so that just a light coat was left. Love them!
$1 at the Dollar Tree
I applied the paints with a foam brush.
Perfect for updating your fall decor...
Of course they are perfect for Halloween too!
