DIY Spooky Halloween Village

I love finding thrift items and making them my own! Check out this inexpensive Halloween Village I created!
Here's the Christmas houses I picked up from the local Salvation Army.
I grabbed some spray paint. I wanted a mix of black and gray.
I gave them a quick spray!
I then bought some scary rings and glue dots from the Dollar Tree. I cut the ring/circle portion of the ring off and glued the insects to the houses!
I love how they turned out! I added some lanterns and a spooky tree from the dollar section of Target. Plus, some scary figurines from the Dollar Tree.

Char Dietzler on Oct 20, 2015I have expensive houses from Partylite candle company that sat in my dining room off the kitchen. They got a coating of greasy dust on them. When I tried to wipe that off, the paint came off. I was floored. Now I have something that can be made with the ruined pieces that I can enjoy. Thanks ... I can also look for the cheap ones at thrift, but this helped me out.
