Cabin Kitchen Table & Chairs Refinish

I purchased this table 2nd hand from a co-worker 20 years ago for my son. He used it in his kitchen in CT then in FL and was finally moved to it's current home in OR. It sat in my barn for a few years but I found the smaller size was perfect for my cabin so I refinished the trestle table for my craft room and gave this little table a face lift.
Before
sanded top...painted apron & legs with a coat of Zinsser Bull's Eye to prep and 2 coats of smooth slate gray laytex (leftover exterior paint) it was the right color :)
I finished the top with Minwax golden pecan stain and 6 thin coats of Minwax satin polycrylic for protection
I made a couple of signs downloaded from @TheGraphicsFairy.com, for the apron which I attached with wood glue and a couple of upholstery tacks...
added black painted wood appliques all around
and refinished the chairs. I only use 3 chairs at the table so 2 of them were refinished to match
and the odd one is my favorite.

I would love to redo my round table and these exact chairs after 30 years! How did you sand these chairs down and take the glaze off them to paint and stain them in between the rails on the back, etc mine don’t come apart. Thanks!
