My Fall Horse Shoe Pumpkin

What do you do with a box of rusty and quite dirty horse shoes that still have most of their nails still in?
They made not look like much now. All the rust and the groves have so much dirt embedded in them.
Pull out the nails and take a wire brush to the rest. Those old horse shoes will clean up really nice. You can see the before and after horse shoes.
Weld them together and you have your pumpkin. I was lucky to have a neighbor that is a welder.
Cut part of one of the horse shoes off to make the stem. Added some decorations and you have a great pumpkin for your fall vignette.
I have seen them painted orange with a green stem, but I liked the look of the natural horse shoes once they were cleaned up. I just sprayed them with lacquer.
