Clock Face Ornament
Over on the blog we are doing an Artistic Advent series. This week's readings from Ann Voskamp's book, The Greatest Gift inspired this clock face ornament.
I took canning jar lids and spray painted them a soft cream. Next, using printables available on the blog, I transferred roman numeral clock numbers onto the lid with trace paper.
Using a small firm tipped brush I hand painted the numbers with black acrylic paint.
For an extra layer and touch of age I used dark wax to finish off the ornaments. A fat nail and hammer helped make a hole for a sting and jute hanger.
On the back of each ornament I wrote the verses that inspired my project with a Sharpie.
