I wanted kitchen themed hooks to hang aprons in my kitchen. I went the wine cork craft route and recycled wine corks, scrap wood, and wall anchors into a quick, easy, and sturdy coat rack!
These wine cork organizers get a lot of use and look just like I made them three years ago.
I drilled a pilot hole with a drill and screwed a wall anchor into each cork with a screwdriver.
Then I screwed the wall anchor cork to a piece of scrap wood. I left the edges raw for visual interest.
I screwed the pop top from an aluminum can to the back of the coat rack to use as a wall hanger. Let's pretend I centered perfectly!

Have a question about this project?
Great idea! Saw you used champagne corks, do you think regular wine sized corks will be 'wide' enough for the anchor?
