I had a ton of old photo frames just sitting around in my blanket chest. I decided to get creative and combine two of them into a painted chunky frame. They sell for over $40 in the retail store, so this was a huge win!
Take two that fit together well and glue them together with any strong glue. I used household glue.
Even without paint they looked great together - but alas, paint always improved any project.
Even little nicks and gouges add character and dimension - don't worry about them! The paint solidifies the project and makes it pop.
My grandson has become the focal point in our office because of this frame! To see the process, visit my website below. I give more details. I have more frame projects on my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Could MAYBE even put photo into the bigger frame in back for a kind of shadow box effect. I plan to try it, I have been doing lots of shadow boxes lately. Great new idea to try!! Thanks for the inspiration. Love your framed photo, cute grandson!
