Inexpensive Glass Gem Sun Catcher
I have a bunch of dollar store glass gems and wanted to use them. I also wanted to make a valentine gift for each of my kids. This project was easy and fun. You could even let kids make the design of their choice and depending on their age help glue on the glass gems.
Materials Needed: Frame Dollar store glass gems Clear school glue Hot glue gun Optional - super glue
Steps: 1. Remove backing from picture frame and clean both sides. 2. Hot glue glass onto picture frame to secure it in place. (My picture is taken after the project was complete.)
3. Arrange rocks on the front of the frame on top of the glass to desired look. 4. Glue each rock with clear school glue to the front glass on front of the frame 5. Let dry
6. Optional - pull off hanging brackets from picture back and super glue to frame if you want to hang it.
I used the first letter in each of my kids names so they could be left up in their rooms year around.
I wanted to make a heart for Valentine's Day for myself.

I use a faux "cut glass" bowl that is on a pedestal that glistens in light. I used clear glass gem rocks, filled dish with water and put floating tea candles on top of the water. Very sparkly. Very pretty on a table.

I love this idea! You've given me some inspiration for a future project I could do on my blog! Very unique!

Great idea BTW!
