Re-purposed Mirror

Man,was this thing ugly.....but for one dollar,I saw potential in it to be something else.
First things first, cut off that ugly pink string and take it all apart.
Here's the front view prior to demolition
Here it is with all the parts removed
Laid out an old sheet on the lawn to do this, wouldn't want to upset the landlord now would we.
I used this blackboard paint and a foam brush for application.
Much sunnier today,so was able to finish it up.
After stepping back,I thought it needed something more,so took out a small artists brush and did some detailing on the woven part between the mirror and frame, must say it helped.
Now,since this used to be a mirror and there was no lip to put the chalk on,I grabbed an old can (I always keep them ) painted it in the same blue, allowed it to dry then wound some of that sisal string round it and hot glued it to the corner of the frame.
Here it is all finished.
