Seascape Tablescape

We live in Florida where entertaining is usually outdoors and always casual. As with most of my tablescapes, this one was created with what I had on hand.
It all started with my favorite outdoor tablecloth, which is covered with fish and shells. So Florida.
Next, I grabbed some of my huge shell hoard and sprinkled a gentle wave of shells over the table. Move the shells around until the wave covers about half the table length-wise. Now, I know everyone doesn't live in Florida and have as many shells as I do, but be creative - what do you have that is beachy? Sea glass? Sand dollars? Small clean pebbles? Driftwood? Beach colored "gems" from the Dollar Store? Use what you've got!
The next step was to add some interest to the "wave." I placed several of the shell birds I create in the wave. What could you put there? Pillar candles? Fish statuettes? Glass globes in blue or green? Add your own beachy touch.
After adding the birds, I moved the shells around and added some more as filler.
Ready to set the table.
I did a simple accordion fold for the napkins and then added my jute and shell napkin rings.
Ready for company and a poolside dinner!

I too love the tablecloth. Where did you find it? Nice "beachy" feel.
