Yes, you read the title correctly — 10 minutes for today’s project!! If you have a plain doormat (you can pick one up for about $10), a permanent marker, some stencils, and ten minutes, YOU could totally recreate this look. Maybe for your own porch? Maybe for a new homeowner’s porch? Maybe for your neighbor’s next BBQ as a hostess gift? Heck, maybe just for fun? This personalized doormat is too darn easy not to try!
You can check out this blog post for the full tutorial.
We chose to add numbers and create a doormat that reflects a friend's address, but you could easily alter this idea by spelling out words, a phrase, or even a monogram!
All you have to do is line up your stencils in the middle of the doormat and trace that stencil with a large permanent marker (we used Sharpie's MAGNUM size for this project). And I am NOT joking when I say this ENTIRE project takes less than 10 MINUTES!
This DIY doormat is so easy, you could even get the kids involved. How much would grandma and grandpa love a doormat from their adorable grandkids?
