How to Build Your Own Rustic Coffee Table for Less Than $75

Today I want to show you how to build your own rustic coffee table for less than $75!
We did this project a few weekends ago, and I LOVED how it turned out! Honestly, I am not a builder myself. I like to sand and paint, but leave the actual building to my husband. Luckily, he loves to build things and is good at it too!
I did intend on doing a blog post about this, but after many requests on snapchat (you can see more of my videos with username alexisroch), I decided to give you a quick post on how to build your own rustic coffee table!
Our previous coffee table was with us for all of our marriage (nine years!) and it was not adequate anymore. It was fairly small and didn’t really work for our house anymore. We are moving more towards rustic, slowly but surely.

We wanted this to be rustic, so it didn’t involve evening out the boards, just sanding. That saves time and you don’t have to use a special tool for it!
Here is what we changed up:
The other thing we noticed was he mentions 1 box 2 1/2″ Kreg Screws, but doesn’t say the amount. We ended up needing two boxes which were 50 count each.
Tools You Definitely Need For This
All the links to items we used are in the blog post below including the link to the plans we followed step by step. This link also has videos!

William on Jul 21, 2016Great job! I must admit! His looks too rustic for my taste. Kind of hunting lodge look. Love what you did with the finish. Ruger gave his final approval =:)
