This year I made another coffee filter wreath but with artichokes and sunflowers. Gearing up for Fall. I love it! Please use the link provided in this post for full instructions on how to make the wreath.

Autumn Coffee Filter Wreath
Hot glue the filters to the styrofoam wreath. A 12" - 14" wreath is good.
Artichokes and Sunflowers will be the focal point items. Remove all stems.
Choose smaller items for fillers around the focal pieces. All decorative items are hot glued to the filters.
Insert a small eye screw to the top and hot glue it for stability and hang on the wall with some twine.

How do you get the coffee filters to ruffle like they are for the wreath
I Love it. Did you use the unbleached coffee filters ? Does the hot glue melt the foam ?
