Instructions for Garden Pergola/Arbor for Under $20

Step by step for building this free standing pergola/arbor. You can use longer 2x4s if you want to cement in ground if you are in a windy area. It is heavy enough to stand on its own but if you have children or rambunctious pets you may want to anchor it or cement it in. Summer 2015- 2 years later
After cutting all 4 2x4s 7ft in length, measured where I wanted inside bracing (1x6 pickets) and traced outside edges of picket to notch out where the bracing goes for a professional look
