I think I finally have my dry stream bed the way I want it. The best thing was the rocks were free. I had to remove the rock this year and clean out debris and decided to plant Liriope to line the stream bed which fills up during a rain. The back yard is hard as a rock and Liriope is the best thing for green in this situation. I built both bridges out of landscape timbers and fence pickets. I started with a nothing but 23 loads of leaves, acorns and garbage when we bought the house 5 years ago and barren hard ground underneath.
