One of my favorite Christmas traditions is making ornaments for friends and family. This year, I wanted to make the ornaments from something I had recycled.

Cans can be cut. With big scissors cut ends off soft drink cans, toss the ends and flatten out can sides, then using metal die cuts, run through a Big Shot die cutter. Be careful edges are sharp, but make cute "ornaments".

My wife ran across this project and made a “football party tree” for a friend who has TV parties. She got several free scrap branches from a Christmas tree lot and tied them together for a tree. She made most of the ornaments from various beer can brands with the logo out. She also used the aluminum side to paint logos for our favorite teams. We hope the branches last through the Super Bowl. Thank you, Susie.
