I had this Dollar Store chunky frame with a saying on it, that I TOTALLY bought for a dollar, knowing I'd repurpose it someday. I bought about 5 big ones and 5 smaller ones, because hey...a buck is a good price.
This was the chunky box frame I bought. Its not TERRIBLE..but aww who am I fooling..nothings cute about this. So I decided to cover it and make it something pretty for Christmas.
This was a bag I bought at Target for a Dollar also. It did have a handle on top, and I liked that it had a little "tag" on it too. So I cut it to fit my not so cute chunky box frame.
I put Mod Podge all over the top of the frame, then layed the paper bag on top of that and smoothed out all the bubbles.
Once dry, I went around the edges again with Mod Podge just to make sure they were sealed.
Last step, use my Silhouette Cameo and make some pretty vinyl words to jazz it up. So, a present that keeps on giving..year after year. And a cute home decor to boot.
Suggested materials:
  • $1 box frame   (Dollar Store)
  • $1 Christmas bag   (Target)
