Flamingo Seashell Mosaic How To ~ Craft Klatch Beach Crafting

11 Materials
Time for a seashell beach craft! It's made with those little shells you find on the beach that burrow into the sand, right at the water's edge. I don't take any live ones. There are tons that are already open and dried out waiting for you to make a beautiful project!
Watch the video above to see how I did it.

Here are some highlights:
Take a wood plaque.
Paint it.
Take small shells you found at the beach.
Arrange them into a flamingo.
Glue them on.
Grout it.
It was a little darker than I wanted - so I lightened it and sealed it.

Hi Mona, just came across your video on the mosaic Flamingo and it's beautiful. I've done a few pojects with seashells and i love working with that medium. I think the only thing i would have done different then you is, i would have left the dark grout in and around the beak and maybe a little outline on the eye, though at the moment i have no idea if that would be anatomically correct, lol, but love, love, love the idea of using fingernail polish to "pinken-up" the shells. Beautiful and so smart. Thanks for the tips !
