Indoor Solar Lights "Star"

I have an elderly Jewish friend living in a Care Home and to give him a little comfort (and a night light) in his room, I decided to make this Star of David Solar light wall hanging for his birthday. He is 76 years young!
This is the final project, looks much better in person.
I picked up a couple of picture frames, white foam board, and blue ribbon at the Dollar tree.
I found a Star of David pattern online, printed it and mapped out the light placements. (THE NUMBER OF LIGHTS CHANGED LATER)
My first attempt at placing the lights was a HUGE failure, thank goodness the foam board was large! I had placed the lights according to the pattern but there was not enough definition. Second attempt worked much better.
I coated the foam board with Mod Podge as I had noticed some marks, maybe someones dusty finger prints from the store. I coated the board to protect it. I cut the ribbon (which I was going to use for something else in the project-but that changed LOL) I glued those down with Mod Podge as well. The ribbon gave this project the definition it needed.
Next came the lights. I marked the placement of my lights and then poked small holes to push the lights through. After that was done, and looked pretty good, I pushed the lights all the way through and then, as you can see (a bit) on the right, I used white gorilla glue to glue the lights to the foam board.
This was before gluing the lights. I wasn't sure that I would need to add lights to the middle of the Star points, but I did need them.
This was a 100 light string and as much as I thought about this project before starting it, I did not take into account the amount of wire that would be in the back. My original thought on this was totally not what I ended up doing in regards to hanging it on the wall. I found a cardboard box that was almost the exact size of the picture frame, removed the flaps, added an opening and hanger on the back of the box. I glued the frame to the box and I covered the box sides with shelf paper that I had left over from my kitchen cabinet project.
Here are a few different views. One thing to think about when using Solar lights in the house is making sure that the charging unit can be placed in a window that will get a lot of sunlight. I took this to my friend and he just loves it.
