A young man (9 years old) I love very much made me a wooden cabinet, and although he informed me that "one side came out a little crooked"; and he was disappointed but I was not... it was built with more love for me than you could imagine.
He wanted me to paint it and put some flowers on it..
So we did.
Plywood cabinet, made with lots of love.
Side view.
We decided on "Little Lamb" Fusion paint. We are making a new bathroom and it will be gray and white, and he wants it to go in there.
We mixed some plaster of Paris with some black paint and made molds of roses.
He painted the body of the cabinet and let me do the edges.
The plywood edges and gaps were covered completely with one coat of fusion paint! Amazing!!
Let it dry!
Next we took the molds out and he applied glue to the back of them
Glue on the molds!
So, I was informed that it was not "fancy enough" and we decided on a bit of trim.
Using 1/4 inch tape I guestimated a line where we would apply white.
and cut the edges so we would have a complete frame of white
we used some artists acrylic and I painted the lines.
let it dry again.
Pull off the tape.
He wanted me to do the same with the top and I hand painted the white line. There was no way to tape that off!
Done, He loves it although he is disappointed that the left leg is still crooked. I don't see crooked, I see love.... lots of love.
