I was sick and tired of looking at my blank white wall, so I got creative. I had some fairy lights that I had bought and never ended up using. So this was the perfect opportunity to hang them. At first I was thinking about just stringing them and then I turned to Pinterest for some inspiration. I really wanted to write something out, but everything seemed a little too cliche for my taste. After finding an inspirational picture of a moon, the light bulb went on! I gathered my materials and got to work.
This was my pathetic excuse for a bedroom wall just screaming to be decorated.
Before doing anything else, I made sure that the hanger was easy enough to bend into a crescent moon shape. It was in fact a success.
To help save me on command hooks (which I didn't have all that many of), I decided to tie some of the letters to help keep them in place. You really can barely tell.
This is the final product: 'Love you to the Moon'. I just think it is super cute and a great way to occupy the wall space.
All lit up, you can't really tell what it says. My mom always told me to never read in the dark, so I guess it works out!icon
