I am a huge fan of dreamcatchers! There's something very mystical about them. I make all sorts of dreamcatchers for myself and also wanted to make a video for you guys to watch and learn! But the internet was already full of similar videos. So I thought why not take this project to next level and create something different yet better! After a lot of brain storming I decided to make a dreamcatcher inspired clock and it was a success!
Keep scrolling to see how I made it.
Wrap a ribbon/thread/leather cord around the rim of the embroidery hoop. Use fevicol/glue gun at 3-4 inch interval to secure the thread and prevent it from uncoiling.
Mark equal distances around the rim before you start making the web. If you're a beginner then you coulf keep these distances big but if you already know how to weave a dreamcatcher web, then keep these distances small. this will make it look more intricate and beautiful.
loop your thread over the rim.
pull the thread through the loop created.
repeat this same step to make the entire web. Watch the video for detailed explaination.
tighten the web after reaching the centre.
for mounting the clock cut 2 circular pieces of cardboard big enough to cover the clock machine.
Place the needles. You could leave it here, or if you feel extra fancy you can stick feathers over the clock hands using glue gun.
FOR MAKING TASSELS:
take a loop of embroidery thread and fold it into half.
Tie a knot at the center.
Hang the tassels over the lower rim of your clock.
Voila! You're done!!
