Found this little guy at a local Goodwill for $5. Solid wood, cute and compact. And I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it for a little extra dining room storage.
So unfortunately, I never took a good "before picture" . But the cabinet was a three drawer chest, that looked like 9 faux square drawers. Sort of like an apothecary chest. I cleaned it well, inside and out, and lightly sanded the surfaces of the original white paint.
I chose a semi-gloss from Home Depot, used a high quality brush and roller combo to paint the surface one solid peachy color.
I then busted out my acrylic paints and a few plastic cups. I had a bit of peach paint in each cup, and I mixed random acrylic paint shades into the peach paint for the drawer faces - nothing too contrasty. And then I painted the drawer fronts, square by square.
With some brushed nickel simple knobs from Ocean State Job lot, I love the peach and warm grayish purple scheme I have going on in the dining room.icon
