Wendy seems determined to draw us all out of our shells and get us more engaged so I am accepting this week's challenge to update something with using just paint. It isn't anything spectacular but what a difference a coat of paint can make.
I found these funky old candle sticks at a flea market and paid a couple of bucks for them. They are heavy and I'm not sure what kind of metal they're made of but since I make candles, they caught my eye. I took them home and cleaned them up with (don't laugh) ketchup. The acid worked wonders on the collective crud. Then I spray painted them with Rustolium in Oil Rubbed Bronze
Here is the finished product after just a coat of paint! Hope you like it!
Not sure if I'll use the white candles or...
Or the green ones. Either way, they'll make a lovely gift for someone. I already have WAY too many of them lol. Hope you enjoyed my one coat of paint makeover for my candlesticks.
Enjoyed the project?

They're antique brass. Actually worth more than you said you paid. But still nice job.
