$5 dresser finds new life as an amazing TV component cabinet.
BEFORE ~ My husband has learned to trust my “vision” when it comes to repurposing anything. We found this solid oak, HEAVY, neglected dresser for only $5 at a yard sale.
I scraped the old yellow paint, removed the left drawers and door, filled and glued holes and pieces as necessary, then sanded smooth.
Our weather has been fickle in MO, so painting was to be done inside. Some pre-planning was required for each component I planned to put in the cabinet. (My wi-fi tower was taller than the DVD and satellite boxes, etc.) The final layout was customized to my needs.
I chose olive green for the body and vertical portions of the shelves and deep dark chocolate for the horizontal sections. The empty circles on the edges became the perfect place for buttons to become medallions . Just clipped off the backs and glued them in.
My new favorite furniture piece. CDs & DVDs fit in the drawers. Misc. remotes for the top sppace. Yay me!

Thank you. In its former life, there may have been something else in those routered circles. But, they were naked when I got it. Buttons fit in there just right and I was lucky to find the leaf motif.
