Definitely brownie frownie. But I saw potential.

Do you see it too?
Found this guy at a local thrift store. He'd been passed up, but I new with a fresh look, he could be handsome!
I'm seeing him in grey weathered tomes, and a black base. Can you picture it?

First up, we need some Junk Monkey Paint. No priming, or Sanding or Stripping for this project if I use it!

We will go right over its existing finish!

The base color for the legs will be Black Velvet. And I will do a blend of colors for the weathered look, let's go with Smokey Coal, Mouse in the House, Antique Lace, and a touch of black to add to it as well.

These are the brushes I use for the weathered top effect. For the legs I use a fuller brush. Find the link at the bottom in the supply section.

For the weathered effect, I use this style...
Chip brushes they are called! And they are perfect for achieving the distressed look!

I load my brush with a little of each color and behind to paint the top. It shows shades of each color.

Who doesn't love a bee? Had to add it to on my chair!:)

Want to see the finished piece? Watch me live as I paint it On he Hometalk Facebook Page, 8 PM EST, Thursday, Dec 7!

Ill also talk sealer as well!

See you there,
Sonia from Junk Monkey Paint Company
