My daughter decided that she wanted to make her own wedding cake topper after looking for the perfect one. Her wedding theme was based around trees and deer (2 things they both love). This was the result.
Drew the template/pattern on a piece of 1/4" pine wood from the wood pile.
Cut the pattern out with a jigsaw and was super careful due to the intricate areas. Decided not to cut inside the antler areas due to them being so close together. We didn't want to lose a finger.
Some sanding, a bit of woodturning to outline and that was it. A beautiful custom cake topper.
Enjoyed the project?
Suggested materials:
- 1/4" wood pine (garage)
- Jigsaw
- Woodturning tool (Lowe's)
