I really wanted an Easter wreath, and when I found that the dollar store had spring colored raffia, I decided to see what I could come up with. I'm in love.
Gather your supplies.
I found everything at Dollar Tree!
A floral foam wreath, flowers, and a pack of raffia.
I went with purple tones, but this would look so pretty in other colors, too.
I may make a natural colored one with white flowers.
First, glue a piece of raffia to the foam ring.
Then, wrap it around.
Wrap the whole things, covering spots that have been missed.
When you get to the end of a piece, glue it down.
Then, glue a new piece over it and wrap the raffia around to cover the ends.
I ended up using more than one piece at a time to cover more area in less time.
When you get to the end, glue the end to the back of the wreath.
Then, cut off any extra raffia and "fly aways"
Next, add your flowers.
Just cut your stems long enough to poke through, but short enough so that they wont come out the other end.
Just shove the stems into the foam.
Super easy. I love super easy.
Optional- Add an egg for Easter.
I glued mine onto the middle of a flower.
I love the texture of this! I also love all of the shades of purple.
