Gardening-Lovers Spring Wreath Idea

I recently agreed to participate in a cool project where a group of talented bloggers each shared a DIY spring wreath. Although I'm an AVID DIY'er, a wreath is something I've NEVER made before.

And I wanted to create something a little different from the norm. Nothing super flowery. Nothing against flowers. Love them, but I have a hard time falling in love with the faux flowers. Not only that, I feel like they can be super pricey!

At any rate, I had seen some really unique wreaths made by other blogging friends that used terra cotta gardening pots and I loved the look!

So I decided to give it a try!

I'll be honest, this was a time consuming process. I made two of these wreaths, and each took several hours to complete. They aren't hard to make, just a bit time consuming.

I wrote a step by step tutorial, and all the materials needed are listed on the blog post linked at the bottom of this Hometalk post if you decide you're interested to give this DIY a try.

And here are two pictures of the finished product! What do you think? I kind of wish I had a different colored front door because the terra cotta orange doesn't stand out very well against our red front door. But I still kind of like it.

Even though I'm not a huge faux flower fan, I did try a version with some faux lavender and faux cotton blooms? Not really sure what you call the top of a cotton plant. Anyhow, here's how that looked...

I originally had both of them hung on the front door, but then I decided to bring one into our foyer, and I kind of liked how it looked against the gray walls. Are you a fan or not so much?

I like how this wreath turned out...but I LOVE some of the other DIY wreath projects that my blogging friends created! So swing on over and check them out if you're wanting some more spring wreath inspiration 💐!

Cheers! And happy spring!

Makes me smile, because I basically said the same thing with my wreath post. Not a real fan of wreaths, but like yours, I thought both turned out well and well maybe, just maybe, I'll delve in again should inspiration strike twice. Hope you are open to the same thing. Your's required much more patience than mine. Turned out very nice. I do like that your split them up into two different displays.
