Essential Oils Shower Bombs

I love essential oils. I use them in diffusers, I use them to clean. And I use them in the shower.
These shower bombs are the bomb! Using only 3 ingredients, and a small amount of hands on time, before you know it, your whole house will smell splendid!
All you need is baking soda, citric acid, and your choice of oils. I usually get citric acid from eBay, but got this at Wal-Mart. If you've read any of my other posts, you know I'm impatient, and I didn't want to wait! But eBay is the best place to get it.
Use your favorite essential oils. I always use the same 3... Lavender, lemon and spearmint. ( If you use menthol, they make great decongestants.) Many tutorials will tell you to add 20-30 drops. Been there, done that. Now, I pry the little plastic stopper out and POUR the oils in! I like a good, strong scent. Experiment until you find your preference.
Use twice as much baking soda as citric acid. I'm using a mini muffin pan, and to almost fill it, I use 2 cups baking soda and 1 cup citric acid. Mix it well and break up any clumps.
Next, add your oils. The amount is up to you. Anywhere from 25 drops and up. Like I said, I pour mine in, and I reckon that's about 60 drops! But they smell soooo good!!
While you're adding, mix everything well. I don't have a picture of me adding the oils because I was mixing while adding. You may get some fizz. That's ok...cover the fizz spot with powder and keep mixing.
You want to be able to 'clump' it when you have it in hand. It will be dry, and won't seem like it will clump, but it will. Just keep mixing and clumping! When it does, and you'll know, it's ready to set. It should only take a few minutes to get it to the right consistency.
I always use my mini muffin pan. I've bought fancy shmancy molds and they just frustrate me. Trying to remove them, I always crumble them. This works great. I line them with paper cups first.
While you're putting it in molds, press it down. Press it down throughout the day. They will expand, and you want them to be compact. So keep on pressing! I usually do about 15 times from start to finish.
Set them in a warm spot. This is the sunniest spot in my home, so they go here. And while they are drying, the house smells FABULOUS! Let them dry at least 24 hours.

After they dry, remove them from the molds and keep them in an airtight container.
To use them in the shower, put them on the shower floor a little a way from the shower stream. They melt fast, so don't put them directly under the water. As they fizz, the oils are released, and smells delightful.
You can (I do) use them to clean the toilet. Just drop one in the bowl, and after it dissolves, clean as usual. NEVER put them in the tank, only the bowl. The citric acid may erode rubber pieces. If you use lemon like I do, not only does it smell great, but disinfects, too.
They are wonderful to have on hand and make great gifts. When I give them as gifts, I wrap each one separately in saran wrap before putting them in an air tight container.
Thanks for looking!

I tried your recipe .. love it.
However I added my own spin in it and added a few drops of food coloring to match my bathroom and put them in a mason jar.
