Today I’m sharing my new Anthropologie Inspired Union Jack Frame. I love Anthropologie and when I saw this frame I knew I could make it for much less than the $24 it is selling for.
Here’s the inspiration Frame from Anthro. Sidenote – ours would probably look much cuter with a picture of our dog Roxie or Coco but I’ll need to go print one off so instead you get a picture of us……lol.
This is $24 on their website so I went shopping and found my frame for $1.99 and I had already bought the paint last week for another project but it was $.69 cents each for the three paints for a total cost of $4.06.
See what a great deal this was??
So I just lightly sanded the front of the frame and then began painting the white.
I just painted two coats of white because I wanted that sort of white washed look to it.
I wasn’t going for perfection here.
Once the paint was dry, I drew the lines for the different colored stripes in pencil and a ruler. I used my phone to make it easy and did it free hand.
And I took my time and after one coat was put on I walked away and came back a couple hours later. And then I put the 2nd coat on it and let it dry.
So that’s my Anthropolgie knock off for ya. That’s two knock offs in one week. Phew I’m a lil tired….lol.
Enjoyed the project?
