Umbrella Planter on the Cheap Side
by
Lori J
(IC: homeowner)
I have been eyeing a planter for my umbrella pole, but the ones I found were very pricey (say $39 pricey). I found this chips and dip server for $1.50 at a thrift store. I drilled out the dip bowl for the umbrella and added some drainage holes...and now I have an umbrella planter!
Enjoyed the project?

Sandra Check on May 27, 2014I love this! I've been look for those pots too....too pricey! This is a solution I can do! I also took a BIG pot, cut out enough of the bottom to fit over the light fixture and made planter by my front door for my pole light there. Sorry I don't have a picture to share.
