A look into making pure olive oil soap at home from scratch. Always wear protective gear and you will have your very own bar of soap or soap gifts ready in time for Christmas.
Gathering all of your ingredients, safety gear, and tools is step one.
Getting your lye and water mixed safely. I do this in my kitchen sink in a bowl for safety.
Adding your lye and oils at the proper temperature and mixing them all together until they reach trace.
Soap is poured into my custom mold.
Soap is removed from mold after a few days
Soap is cut into bars using a modified cheese cutter.
Soap is set on racks to harden.
