It is a beautiful piece with a lot of detail on the drawers. It could be made into two nightstands if you wanted to remove the middle piece.

separate the end pieces and paint them
Make Bedside cabinets . Cut the legs off. Add the legs to centre drawer.
Oh my goodness, I would absolutely fix it. It has so many interesting lines and a classic shape. There's a crazy amount of potential to be creative with this one.
If you have the space in your bedroom or guest bedroom I would clean it up and restain it.
