Canada’s birthday is on July 1st and it is simply called Canada Day!
There are lot of ways we Canadians celebrate this day with picnics, barbecues at home, camping trips, outdoor concerts and of course fireworks. My husband and I usually have friends over for a barbecue and drink Canadian wine and beer! Then we walk down to the town bandstand with our lawn chairs and enjoy a country and western outdoor concert.
This is a lot of fun! But i also enjoy decorating for Canada Day too!

I made this simple maple leaf and hang it on the front door. I love the red and white colours against the black.
I even designed outdoor planters with a red and white colour theme in mind.
I picked up Canadian Maple Leaf Flags at the dollar store and inserted them into the outdoor planters too.
My American neighbours and friends celebrate their country's birthday a few days after on July 4th. Using your red, white and blue colours you can make a similar kind of wreath for your front door and decorate your outdoor planters too.
To read more about our Canada Day celebration and to get more inspiration I invite you to read the original blog. See you there!
