What is Resist Felting? One of Webster’s definitions for ‘Resist’ is: to try to stop or prevent (something). That’s exactly what it means here. A Resist in the felting sense, is a barrier which keeps fibers from felting together.
You don’t need previous wet felting experience to complete this project, however it is helpful. You may want to take a look at my Basic Felting Tutorial.
Full step by step instructions can be found on my site (link below)
To make my wet felted bowl in this tutorial, I used heavy builder’s plastic as a resist. You could also use bubble wrap.
Supplies Needed:

-Wool or Alpaca Roving (the Fawn Alpaca I used is available in my Etsy Shop)

-Decorations s.a. Dyed Locks and Dyed Yarn (optional)

You also need:

-Heavy Plastic for the Resist

-Bubble Wrap- 2 pieces larger than the Resist

-Synthetic Mesh Fabric

-Soap s.a. dish detergent (not generic)

-Sprinkler s.a. empty bottle with holes in the top

-Towels

-Warm water

-Scissors
Basic steps:

Cover your resist with fiber
Wet it down, flip it over and repeat.
Add decorations
Felt/full
Remove resist and continue felting
Voila!
Some hidden fun on the bottom! Have fun!
