Turquoise Gem

Look at how blah this before photo is. I think anyway.
All done and ready for a new home.
This is an antique wash stand in great condition but needs a definite face lift.
The knobs are what inspired me to paint the piece this color. I have had them for some time and have really been itching to use them.
The paint is American Paint Co. Sea Glass. I painted two coats. Love this color.
After completely dry I went over entire piece with a 220 grit sand paper block. Swipe it once or twice in the same direction gives a smooth finish before waxing. Finished with a clear wax.
Isn't that a cool knob?
Enjoyed the project?

Kathy Griffith on Nov 10, 2014This piece is just beautiful...I live in Tennessee and have just started the chalk paint. There are lots of pieces of antique furniture here and have just fallen in love with these new projects. I hope I can do as well as you..
