How To Clean Concrete
Concrete can get dirty and grimy very quickly. From gutter run off mossy slime to dirt build up from flower containers. Cleaning the concrete is easy with these simple steps!
Before we listed our house for sale we had a lot of outside clean up to do…clean up work that we just neglected in the last year while finishing all of the final touches on the inside, particularly the kitchen!
We had a concrete driveway and front stoop that we power washed yearly, however, this particular year, the build up was pretty extreme in some areas due to a realllllly rainy fall. We would have again power washed it, however, the motor on our power washer went out so when we got to cleaning, we had a bit of elbow grease and improvising to do!
Water Drainage Grime
Under my $12 DIY Planter Boxes, we had a lot of mossy grime growing from the water drainage from the plants. We also had similar spots due to drain water run-off where certain areas hit the driveway.
We also had a Little Tikes Basketball Hoop that had collected a lot of dirt under it as well.
Spilled Messes On Concrete
A watermelon had leaked out of a garbage bag and the juices soaked into the concrete and stained it.
How To Clean Concrete

- Begin by saturating the concrete with water.
- Using the push broom or wire scrub brush, scrub away any loose dirt or debris
