Bathroom Remodel
After water damaged ruined the drywall, we gave our master bathroom a much needed makeover.
An undetected leak in the roof caused major damage to the drywall in our master bathroom.
The drywall and paint were peeling off!
After ripping the walls out, we replaced the drywall. It was already an improvement!
The floors were next. We wanted to be sure they would last so level and waterproof were a must!
We used a flooring mat by Red Guard to make sure the floors were level and waterproof.
We wanted the floor to be a feature so we chose a bold pattern with a Moroccan floor tile.
I wanted to add some character to this room and chose to add shiplap to the space behind the vanity.
For the rest of the walls, I added board and batten using 1" x 6" and 1" x 2 1/2" pine boards.
For the space above the board and batten, I chose a soft blush color called Bohemian in eggshell by Graham & Brown. For the shiplap and board and batten, I went with white.
I think these colors made the room feel so much larger.
Finally, it was time to put it all together.
The finishes make the room feel larger for sure!
This is now my new favorite room!
