How to Make a New Colourful Friend to Live in Your Garden!
I had a pack of colourful sticky back plastic left over from last year project and also saw some cool laser cut wood Lizard shapes on Amazon so decide to make some bright creatures for the garden!
I decide which colours of the sticky back plastic to use green, orange and yellow and find some nice sharp appliqué scissors and draw around the outline of the lizard with a pen on the reverse side of yellow sheet.
Next I carefully cut our the lizard shape and stick it to the wood as neatly as possible.
Press firmly into place on the wooden lizard and next trim off any edges that may need it.
I chose to decorate with green plastic and yellow. I cut out some wiggles lines and dots and begin to decorate the lizard.
I finally add some triangles to the lizard and stick evenly spaced along his back.
And now to put our new friend in the garden

So so cute ! I want to make these for our Privacy fence. I know you made these out of plastic with sticky backs, but will they hold up in the rain ? Thanks a million!!!!
I recently learned how to use my husbands Christmas gift from me, router saw. So far I have made paw prints, dog bones, and Easter Bunnies. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful idea. We have a pool in the backyard and I waiting on a shipment of bulbs and Perrineal plants. I hadnt thought of decorating with wood signs. I need to research the best sealent to use for outside long lasting items. We have cute little light green frogs that love to hang out. Now I can picture my bare backyard full of critters of all kinds. Besides, I need practice on the router saw so this will keep me busy until spring comes back and the plants arrive. What type of outside sealer for wood sticker or painted signs to prevent the colors from fading so quickly or turn the sealer an ugly sheen of yellowish brown. I use shellac for my seasonal porch wood signs, and its working well for signs that are only out for a few months out of the year. I live in the beautiful State of Kentucky, so we get all four seasons. Does anyone use a particular brand of sealer, or possibly another method of protecting outside items?
