Here's an idea:
I love this idea for making over outside glass top tables!
You can replace with wood or underpaint the glass. There are thousands of designs you can do on the underside of the glass. Use oil based exterior paint or stencil using spray paint.
You can paint it
You could cover it with wood.
Unicorn spit on the underside of the table would be a cool idea. You can select colors that suit your decor. Here is a simple tutorial on how to use unicorn spit. https://uniquecreationsbyanita.com/unicorn-spit-glass-vase/
You can paint the underside of the glass in various colors or designs or even adhere colorful patterned paper beneath the glass for a unique look. Have fun with it!
I was just planning on doing this also, but how do you take the trim off the table, I have rivets?
Yes I am sure they are rivets. The back side has a metal plate where the rivets go through. I am afraid to take the rivets out, because it would never go back together.
Hello it’s hard to know your aesthetic but I have seen a Hometalk faux stained glass table tops. Here’s a link for your consideration
We had the glass in ours shatter. We made a new top for it using wood we had, until we replaced the table. Good luck and stay safe!
You could paint the underside of the glass, Decoupage it facing up of course, Use foil, reverse paint a picture or cover it with fabric stuck with MOD PODGE or just use a tablecloth of some sort. Enjoy the project!
