Wooden Baby Play Gym - Great Present for a Baby Shower
This is a baby gym to make baby move and play under.I feel any wooden toys or baby gym is so much more eye-pleasing than the store-bought plastic ones. It’s a simple project that could be done in an hour without serious tools required. Find full tutorial on my blog here.
Measure 4 legs (2′ each). Using a hole saw, drill a hole on 2 legs (2″ from the top). If you don’t have that one, you can always ask Home Depot workers to do it for you.
Attach a dowel with screws and glue.
Cut a 23 angle cut on the bottom of the legs. I used my miter saw but you can also use a hand saw. This cut will ensure your wooden baby play gym to be stable on its legs.
Drill holes on the sides and put a rope through it.
Using an elastic cord put the wooden beads on it.
You can add different mobiles for it. As options, you could use wooden teethers, felt toys, or colorful ribbon. The point is for baby to get curious about those things and try to reach to it, working out those tiny baby muscles.

I like this idea except for the beads. If the elastic string breaks, the beads become a major choking hazard. Maybe use baby safe teethers and toys?
