That sounds so pretty! Can you remove the handle? Then it would be light enough to hang on a small nail or using command adhesive strips. :)
Hi Liana I totally agree with the command strip idea! I love those things!
I hung an open umbrella in my daughter's bathroom that had a rain theme. I used fishing line (filament).

How about put up a thin dowel, like a little towel rack and attach it to the bar portion (either with or without the stem of it) with glue or paste. Maybe then from both sides of the parasol, attach matching streamers or ribbons/lace as a complement.
I did this once with a small nail up close to the ceiling and I hung it from the handle that had a loop on it.
You can hand it from a wire attached to the room.
I've hung one to hide an ugly light fixture, by the handle, but, never on a wall. I would cut down or remove most of the handle and attach it to a hook or hooks on the wall, with it open. They are usually fairly light, so you could use command hooks and sheer ribbon to the ribs when it's fully open. If you evenly space the ribbon, it could be part of the decoration, too. Smaller umbrellas or fans could also be grouped around it. Maybe even flowers! I bet it will be gorgeous! Good luck and stay safe!
Hi Liana. I would open the parasol and hang it upside down. You could hang it from the ceiling using a pretty ribbon tied to the handle. You could also attach ribbons around the perimeter and attach things like buttons, beads, old jewelry, etc. Please consider posting this project here on Home Talk. It sounds so pretty. We would love to see it. Good luck Liana.
Hi,
I would hang it by the handle which I would have tied a string around. attach the string /ribbon from the top of the wall at the height that looks right for you, by way of a Hook or a screw etc. depending on wall constriction. The parasol will lay partly against the wall and top downwards Enjoy!

tiny eyelets and mini hooks or picture hangers for the wall hook part. If you buy one of those picture hanging kits, they usually have all you need. I had a 15' Thai paper umbrella in my living room which I used a large very heavy clay pot to hold the bamboo base/pole in my living room.
