I used a very small brush as I didn't want to tape the boarder. I learnt that with another old painting, the painters tape took some of the picture off!
Using leftover paint, I watered it down to make sure it got in the crevices easily, and did two coats. I really wasn't concerned if any of the raised area showed through, so I blotted the paint on that part. This seemed to work really good though.
Have a question about this project?
So how did you protect the painting without painters tape?
I have a very steady hand and just slowly painted along the edge with the brush 😁
The white really makes the light in the picture stand out, and suddenly, it's not an old picture anymore but a tranquil one.
BTW, I love what the photos show of your home and decor! Can I ask about the slipcovers on your couch? Did you make them? Buy them? If so, where?
Thank you so much!
It's actually an Ikea couch and slipcover. I love the classic look of it of it and it's so easy to wash!
