DIY Modern Rustic Candle Holders
Use air dry clay to make candle holders! It takes 24-48 hours to fully dry and it cost less than $20 to make this whole set!
Variety of candle holder styles
They look great for a tablescape but you can use them as any kind of decor around the house.
Supplies
This is everything you need to make them.
Geometric candle holders
Make a sphere with the clay and cut it in half. Form the base, and stick a toothpick in the center to attach the half sphere to the base. See video tutorials below for more details.

Making the wrapped candle holder
Roll out the clay to desired thickness and cut a rectangle - I used a greeting card as a straightedge, since I didn't have a ruler handy.
Wrapped candle holder
Wrap the candle with the clay rectangle and cut the edge pieces as desired (see video tutorial below).

Have a question about this project?
such a simple fun good looking idea. I love it when people post things we can all do without expensive tools. Did you make the holders and then remove the candles till they dried or leave the candles in the holders while they dry. can you reuse them after you burn the candles. I'm thinking Granddaughter project to make a gift for mommy.
What purpose does the greeting card serve? I didn't see any mention of it in the written instructions...
