Who else loves a little industrial look mixed into their decor? I find the clean lines of the pipes add character, and the soft wood finish makes it a perfect combo to bring eye appeal to almost any space. What better way to add in a little industrial to your decor than with a pipe end table? And how much easier can it get than purchasing a kit through Furniture Pipeline?

This Pipe End Table post is in partnership with Furniture Pipeline, all opinions are my own.

We’ve made our own table with pipes before, and although it turned out great, it was a bit of work!

We basically went to the hardware store and picked out pieces we thought would go together with measurement averages we wanted the table to end around.

To solve this common problem, Furniture Pipeline came out with furniture pipe DIY kits and parts! How perfect is that? No more spending hours in front of the pipe section at your local store! When you purchase your pipe base in a kit, you already know all the measurements for the item.

The pipe end table project they offer was the perfect addition to add beside our couch in the kids' school room.

HOW TO CONSTRUCT THE PIPE END TABLE

Assembling the high quality, lightweight aluminum pipes took all of 10 minutes to construct.

We went with a matte black for both the pipes and the fittings, but the anodized and flash plated (not painted) pipes and fittings are also available in other color options. The pipes are also available in grey and bronze and the fittings and also available in brushed brass and hammered bronze.

The hardest part of this whole project was cutting and assembling the table top, and even that took less than 30 minutes!

I simply decided how much overhang I wanted on the sides of the table base, and Travis cut the cedar 1″x6″ boards to fit.

To assemble the boards so the top would be flat and even, he used pocket holes and a Kreg tool.

To finish it off, stain and seal in the color of your choice.

I love my wood natural, so I simply took a matte sealer and applied it over the top.

WHY USE FURNITURE PIPELINE FOR YOUR INDUSTRIAL FURNITURE NEEDS

I love a company with a great backstory, and Furniture Pipeline has one! They were founded in the spirit of innovation, friendship, creativity, and a really good idea – rustic farmhouse industrial inspired designs. I don’t think it can get much better than that!

They knew working with traditional pipes and fittings to make furniture could prove difficult.(As I attested to above!) Pipes simply aren’t made to be furniture, that’s not their first and foremost use. But, the look that pipes bring to decor had people working with what they could to create stunning pieces. Furniture Pipeline took out the guesswork and frankly, the math, of figuring out a design.

THEIR FITTINGS:

  • The standard fittings allows the pipes to slip into their fittings which is then secured with a pre-installed screw and tightened with an Allen wrench.
  • Slip-thru fittings allows you to slip a pipe straight through and then simply tighten the set screws. This allows for better structural stability and design flexibility.
  • The threaded fittings allow for the pipe to thread onto the fitting for a more secure, tight fit.

THE PIPES:

  • The pipes are made from quality, lightweight aluminum with is durable and resistant to corrosion.

UTILITY:

  • You cannot create a square shaped designs with traditional plumbing pipes and fittings, Furniture Pipeline kits solve that problem.
  • Their pipes and fittings are also more cost effective that traditional plumbing pipes and fittings.

Thankfully Furniture Pipeline has taken the guesswork out of making pipe furniture.

With their huge selection of products, you’ll find more than a few pieces to add to your home decor.

Not only is Furniture Pipeline committed to providing high quality furniture, they’re also dedicated to giving back to the planet with their hashtag plantedseven initiative.

For every design sold and every DIY project shared on social media with the hashtag myfpdesign, they plant seven trees!

To date they’ve planted over 70,000 trees! That makes me love their pieces even more!

Which piece of Furniture Pipeline are you going to add to your home first? I have a running list of all the items I can’t wait to add to our home!
