No-Sew Sock Face Mask
If you find yourself in need of a face mask quick, this 10 minute simple no-sew face mask made from a sock and some filter material will do the trick! SEE FULL POST HERE
All you need is a sock with a heel, some filter material (cotton t-shirt, cotton material or vacuum bag.
IMPORTANT: As socks are porous, you MUST USE A FILTER to make them effective!
Measure where you will cut on each side from the center of the heel.
We ended up with 3" on each side for an adult. Cut less at first as you can always take more off.
Flatten the sock and cut along the TOP OPPOSITE THE HEEL.
Fold sock as shown and cut a slit about 1/2" into the sock. This is the ear holes. CUT IT SMALL AS IT WILL STRETCH A LOT.
You may need to trim the top and bottom if its too tall. We also rounded the corners a bit as they tend to stick out.
Cut your piece of filter to fit inside the mask. This can be any tightly woven cotton at least 2 layers thicks.
Place the filter inside your maks.
If desired, decorate with permanant markers.
